Dream Within a Dream

You know what? Since I just lost my precious mp3 player, is horribly behind on my work due to having a string of bad days and bad luck, and just in general being not motivated, having dealt with stupid interlaboratory politics and the weather being stupidly hot, I'm just going to let loose and rant about stuff you don't care about. And fuck if I'm being internet stupid, I just do give a crap.

( Oh, so you thought we who hate Suzaku misunderstand his character, well you thought wrong, dumbass. )

Because a certain somebody wanted reading recs, I'm throwing a few fics that made an impression on me out there. Of course, since said certain someone isn't in these fandoms, I'm not sure how much it helps. But, I think that these fics are good enough to stand alone, even without the background of the original series. On with the recs!

In short, I loved the end, it satisfied me, and I don't care what anyone else says. And now that everything has come to an end, I feel motivated to write fanfic.

I have to say, I was completely blown away by Turn 6, even with the spoilers. I'm just... Okay, some break down.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, Lloyd was pure love in this episode. So much love for his obsession with Lancelot. XD

Warning for those who read my blatherings: I'm of the opinion, in general, that there is no moral absolute, only morals on which the majority can agree on. It is with this general world view in mind that I look at characters and their motivations and for this reason that I do not particularly like labeling characters as good or evil, even when the text clearly wants us to read in a certain way. No character acts without motivation and for that reason alone, I feel characterizing anyone as evil or good is oversimplifying a matters at hand and why I have a philosophical objection to most children stories that aren't willing to explore the duality of morals and instead mislead our children into believing that there is a clear distinction between good and evil.

Furthermore, while I do believe in moral ambiguity and duality and relativity, I also firmly believe that there is an absolute right or wrong determined not by morality, but by logical deductions from an assumed set of morals. In short, right and wrongness are not judged by one's beliefs or morals but by the adherence of these actions to one's beliefs and morals.

That said, a look into Death Note and Code Geass and the relative right-wrong, moral-immoral behaviors of the main characters.
