*fried*
So, today I was rushing, or rather attempting to rush, some work fro my post-doc. Of course, this means I need the computer. But the computer refused to cooperate and the program installed keeps telling me that there is already a copy of the program running.
Except not.
After battling with the computers (yes, a total of three stations that won't cooperate), the computer finally locked my account. Cue me freaking out.
So, running down to the IT office, we (me and lab manager have been at this for quite a while now) sort of wailed at the IT people until they could help us. Which basically meant re-programing/entering/whatever it is that they do my entire account information. So I keep typing password after password after password in an attempt to get the system to recognize my account as, y'know, valid.
And then I find that the printer is not hooked onto the computer that has the program that I need. Which means I needed to print the stuff on another computer. Only I fail at using network computers and spent 20 minutes running between computer (east side of the building) and the network computer (west side of the building).
My legs hurt from all that rushing. But at least I finally managed to get the work to my post-doc before the 3:00pm deadline.
And promptly failed to find my car in the garage for a good 15 minutes. *cries*
